Sanford, FL — 2/3/2026 — The Recovery House of Central Florida has partnered with Leadership Class 35 to launch a community-wide Telethon Fundraiser aimed at refurbishing its residential recovery facility—enhancing dignity, safety, and stability for men on their journey toward long-term rehabilitation.
The initiative serves as the official Legacy Project of Leadership Class 35, representing a commitment to leadership in action and sustainable community impact. Funds raised will support critical facility improvements that reinforce an environment essential to effective recovery, personal growth, and accountability.
The Recovery House of Central Florida provides structured residential support for men recovering from substance use disorders, mental health issues, and homelessness by offering a foundation for healing, workforce readiness, and reintegration into the community. As with many mission-driven organizations, ongoing use has created a need for refurbishment to ensure the living environment reflects the dignity and care residents deserve.
“Recovery is about more than sobriety,” said Fritz Voltaire, Director of Business Development for the Recovery House of Central Florida. “It’s about restoring confidence, responsibility, and self-worth. The physical environment plays a powerful role in that process, and this project ensures our residents are supported in spaces that promote healing and growth.”
Leadership Class 35 selected this initiative as its Legacy Project to create a lasting impact beyond the program year—aligning leadership development with meaningful service. The project underscores the belief that strong communities are built when leaders apply their skills, influence, and resources toward long-term solutions.
“Leadership isn’t only about professional success,” said Erik Swenk, Leadership Seminole Class 35 Representative. “It’s about strengthening the systems that allow individuals and families to thrive. This project reflects our shared responsibility to invest in recovery, dignity, and community stability.”
The Telethon Fundraiser invites community members, businesses, and civic leaders to participate by donating, sharing the campaign, and amplifying the message of hope and restoration. Proceeds will directly support facility upgrades that improve shared living spaces and reinforce an atmosphere of respect and accountability.
