TAMPA, Florida – February 2026

Tribeca ColorSalons, a leading Tampa hair salon, has officially become a Certified B Corporation™, joining a global network of businesses that meet rigorous standards for social and environmental responsibility, transparency, and accountability.

Certification was awarded by B Lab, the nonprofit organization behind the B Corp movement, following a verified 2.5-year assessment process.

What Does It Mean to Be a Certified B Corporation?

Certified B Corporations (B Corps) are for-profit companies legally committed to balancing profit with purpose. To qualify, businesses must:

  • Complete and verify the B Impact Assessment
  • Meet high standards across governance, workers, community, customers, and environment
  • Publicly disclose impact performance
  • Legally commit to stakeholder governance

Notable B Corps include Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, and Davines — the Parma, Italy-based haircare brand that Tribeca proudly carries and credits as an early inspiration for its sustainability journey.

Why This Certification Matters

Tribeca ColorSalons operates as a Florida Benefit Corporation, meaning its legal structure already prioritizes public benefit alongside profit.

The salon currently:

  • Diverts up to 95% of salon waste through its partnership with Green Circle Salons
  • Uses EasyDry compostable towels, sustainably composted for a local Tampa farm by Renuable Composting.
  • Commits a minimum of 2% of annual revenue to local nonprofit organizations
  • Invests in verified carbon offset initiatives

According to Owner Brandon Wagner:

“We’ve always tried to do our best for our community, inclusivity, and sustainability. After a two-and-a-half-year certification process, we’re proud to stand alongside other companies that believe business can be a force for good.”

He added:

“Being certified means growth can’t come at the expense of our values. If we expand, hire, build, or scale, it must align with the standards we’ve committed to.”

What’s Next for Tribeca ColorSalons?

Tribeca is currently preparing to combine its two Tampa locations into one expanded flagship space featuring:

  • A 20-chair salon
  • A 20-student cosmetology academy
  • A vending café concept
  • Continued adherence to B Corp stakeholder standards

This expansion reflects Tribeca’s long-term commitment to sustainable growth, education, and community impact in Tampa.
