March 24, 2021
The fourth annual Public Notice Day will be held March 24 during the 2021 Legislative Session. We encourage publishers and senior media executives to come to Tallahassee to participate in educating our legislators about the value of public notices and the role of the news media in the local community. You are encouraged to set meetings with the legislators from your district on this day, as the members of Florida’s news media come together to make their presence felt in Tallahassee. (Find your state representative here and your senator here.)
Although the Capitol remains closed due to COVID-19, we are moving ahead with a live outdoor reception March 24 at the South Plaza of the Capitol with our business and allied partners to help educate on the importance of Public Notices! We also plan to hold a Press Conference in the Capitol rotunda March 24 at 10am.
We encourage FPA members to meet with their legislators on March 23 and March 24.
Additionally, FPA is coordinating an advertising campaign with eighth, quarter, and full page ads to run in every member newspaper. Insertion orders will be sent by Intersect Media in advance, and the ads will also be posted on this page.
