FORT MYERS -March 10, 2026 – Spirit of the Gulf Chorus presents their
Spring Show on Saturday afternoon, April 11, 2026, 2pm, at First Christian Church (2061 McGregor Blvd, Fort Myers, Florida).
Along with a diverse repertoire of arrangements and entertaining quartets, the springtime lineup will feature their traditional honoring of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces with each one’s official song. The Armed Forces Medley harmonizes with a moving visual presentation of Service men and women, and this year’s rendition will include the all new Semper Supra, meaning Always Above, the official song of the newest military branch: the U.S. Space Force.

More of the story… Fort Myers is home base for Spirit of the Gulf Chorus, an award-winning, renowned barbershop show chorus and a distinguished chapter of the worldwide, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of Sweet Adelines International. They excel in regional competitions that qualify their participation and achievements on the international stage, and are preparing for another SAI annual competition this Fall in Columbus, Ohio.
“Changing Lives Through Music” is their well-accomplished mission and motto that rings throughout the year with their offering of local performances and an educational outreach program to Lee and Collier County Middle and High Schools (with students occasionally introduced as guest performers in their local shows).
Marking their 25th Anniversary this year, Spirit of the Gulf Chorus flourishes under the direction of Co-Directors Deanna Kastler and Gina Baker, inspiring, motivating, and cultivating the art and performance of barbershop music, refining tradition with a competitive edge for the second quarter of the 21st century.
