PLANTPOP, LLC

MIAMI, November 14th, 2025 – From the world’s only horticultural film studio comes a cinematic experience like no other. Miami-based filmmaker Jacopo Fantastichini has spent the past several years exploring the city’s vibrant plant community, capturing the stories of growers, designers, artists, marketers, and everyday plant enthusiasts. His dedication has resulted in over 40 visually stunning and inspiring films that showcase not just plants, but the people whose passion brings them to life.

Now, for one night only, PLANTPOP is partnering with Film Gate Miami to present a special curated screening of these films. Audiences will not only experience the beauty of Miami’s local flora on screen but also have the rare opportunity to meet Jacopo and his team, gaining insight into the creative process behind this one-of-a-kind project.

“Miami’s plant community is unlike anywhere else,” says Art Parkerson, Executive Producer of PLANTPOP. “This event is an opportunity to celebrate the creativity, innovation, and passion that makes the city bloom—and to honor the incredible work that Jacopo has done to bring these stories to life.”

The films cover a wide range of perspectives—from artists crafting living installations, to urban gardeners turning small spaces into lush retreats, to marketers and growers redefining what it means to connect with plants in a modern city. Each story is a testament to the way plants inspire, heal, and connect people in unexpected ways.
