Miami, FL (February 1, 2026) – Miami-based Ocaquatics Swim School invites the community to celebrate a major milestone: 32 years of teaching water safety and more than 3.2 million swim lessons delivered. On Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 2–5 pm, families, swimmers, and team members are invited to a free community celebration at Ocaquatics’ Eureka location.
For Ocaquatics, the numbers tell a powerful story. Thirty-two years. 3.2 million swim lessons. Each lesson represents a step toward greater confidence, skill, and responsibility in, on, and around the water. This milestone celebration honors the generations of families who have trusted Ocaquatics to help their children become safer swimmers.
The birthday celebration will feature family- and environmentally-friendly activities, including water safety education, a bounce house, and interactive experiences for all ages. Several of Ocaquatics’ 1% for the Planet partners will be in attendance, along with Ripples of Impact, Ocaquatics’ nonprofit organization, which will share information about its swim scholarship programs.
Ocaquatics has much to celebrate beyond the party. Founded in 1994, the swim school has spent over three decades creating safer swimmers while using business as a force for good. This commitment has earned Ocaquatics continued recognition as a Top Workplace in South Florida, GOLD for Best Swim School in the 2025 Miami-Dade Favorites competition, and the distinction of being named a 2025 Best Place to Work in Miami, both recognitions awarded by the Miami Herald. These honors reflect the passion, commitment, and everyday excellence of its team.
As a Certified B Corporation®, Ocaquatics meets high standards of social and environmental performance, actively invests in its community through initiatives such as beach cleanups and free water safety education, and in 2024 transitioned to a 100% employee-owned structure through an Employee Ownership Trust, supporting long-term, community-centered growth.
The celebration will take place at Ocaquatics’ Eureka location, 11101 SW 176 Street, Miami, FL 33157. The event is free and open to the community.
“Thirty two years ago, Ocaquatics began with a simple but powerful goal, to help families feel safer, more confident, and more responsible around the water. Reaching 3.2 million swim lessons is incredibly humbling because each lesson represents a child, a family, and a moment of trust. I am deeply grateful to our families, our community, and especially our team members, whose care and commitment have made this work possible for more than three decades. We are proud of what we have built together and excited to continue creating safer swimmers and stronger communities for many years to come.” Miren Oca, Founder and CEO, Ocaquatics Swim School
