Little Lives Matter

Sanford, FL, 09 September: St. Thomas More and All Souls Catholic Churches will hold a unified memorial service on September 13, 2025, at 10 AM, remembering all those lost to abortion as part of National Remembrance Day for Aborted Children. A vigil procession will proceed to the Memorial for the Unborn at All Souls Cemetery. The ceremony will be led by Rev. Fr. Christopher Pieroni, with Vicky and Bruce Cherry of Prolife Radio scheduled to speak.

The National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children began in 2013 to commemorate the burial anniversary of around 1,500 abortion victims in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Over 100 vigils took place nationwide, with numbers increasing each year. This year, 400 vigils are expected to take place. This will be the first memorial service held in Sanford.

On this day, mourners throughout the nation are expected to make a pilgrimage to the gravesites and memorials of aborted children to offer their prayers. Despite the overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022, abortion continues to be a widely practiced injustice in our country.

We invite everyone in our community and beyond to join us for this meaningful service. Your prayers and presence are vital as we gather to honor the millions of babies lost to abortion and seek healing for all affected. Please join us in prayer and mourning as we stand together in remembrance and hope.
