Dr. Mark Studin, Clinical Director of the Fellowship in Primary Spine Care, proudly announces that Dr. Andrew Hope, of Palm Beach County, Florida, has been awarded a prestigious Fellowship in Primary Spine Care. This Fellowship is certified through a Joint Providership with the State University of New York at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine – Office of Continuing Medical Education, Cleveland University–Kansas City, College of Chiropractic, and the Academy of Chiropractic. It represents the first true joint providership program uniting medical and chiropractic academia.

This comprehensive two-year Fellowship provides advanced, research-driven training in trauma case management, pain management, spine biomechanics, advanced imaging interpretation, neuromusculoskeletal diagnostics, and collaborative care with spine surgeons to help reduce unnecessary surgical intervention. The curriculum emphasizes identifying previously “non-evident” sources of spinal pain—areas often overlooked in traditional evaluations.

Dr. Studin noted, “This program is long overdue, as it offers spinal-pain patients evidence-based options that focus on identifying and treating the actual cause of pain—without reliance on opiates or other symptom-only approaches. The scientific literature clearly supports the outstanding outcomes this model produces.”

He further commented, “This Fellowship bridges the gap between chiropractic and medicine. It strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration and expands high-level, non-operative options for patients suffering from spinal disorders.”

After practicing for over 35 years, Dr. Hope continues to demonstrate his commitment to clinical excellence, becoming one of the first doctors in the nation to earn this distinguished Fellowship. With this achievement, he intends to further advance primary spine care research, diagnostics, and conservative treatment so that more patients can avoid preventable surgery and chronic, lifelong pain.

Dr. Hope is currently the only Doctor of Chiropractic in Palm Beach County to have earned this Fellowship, establishing himself as a beacon of leadership and innovation for patients seeking answers to the leading cause of disability in the United States: back pain.
