Following its 10th anniversary, EnLight’s fourth consecutive appearance among America’s fastest-growing private companies comes as the organization builds a growing family of businesses around technology, entrepreneurship and a Christian mission of service and stewardship.
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — August 11, 2026 — EnLight.Energy has been named to the 2026 Inc. 5000, marking the company’s fourth consecutive appearance on the annual ranking of America’s fastest-growing private companies.
EnLight.Energy ranked No. 4,950 on the 2026 list, following appearances in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
The recognition comes just months after EnLight celebrated its 10th anniversary in April, creating a natural milestone between the company’s first decade and what its leadership sees as the next chapter: building an interconnected family of companies capable of serving customers, creating opportunities for people and generating resources that can be put to work for purposes beyond the businesses themselves.
“Making the Inc. 5000 once is an incredible honor. Making it four years in a row means something different to us,” said Julio Daniel Hernandez, Founder and CEO of EnLight. “Our industry changed dramatically during those years. We’ve had to adapt, make difficult decisions and keep building. To enter our second decade with this recognition is something we’re deeply grateful for, and it belongs to the people who continued believing, serving and building alongside us.”
From One Company to a Family of Companies
Founded in April 2016, EnLight began as an energy company focused on helping homeowners better understand and take control of how they produce and use energy.
Over its first decade, the company developed teams, technology, operating systems and customer relationships while navigating significant changes across the residential energy industry.
Those capabilities are now becoming the foundation for the EnLight Family of Companies, which today includes EnLight.Energy, EnLight Electric, EnLight Exteriors, EnLight Homes and EnLight Capital, serving needs across energy, electrical services, exterior property services, real estate and financing.
The businesses are being developed around a shared philosophy: bring clarity to complex decisions, solve real problems, serve people exceptionally well and create lasting value.
EnLight combines distributed engineering, technology, project management and administrative capabilities with local electricians, technicians, installers, sales professionals and operating leaders responsible for executing within the communities the companies serve.
But the evolution from one company into several has not always followed a predetermined plan.
In some cases, problems became capabilities — and capabilities became businesses.
Building Through Adversity
EnLight Capital is one example.
As financing companies serving the residential energy industry failed or exited the market, EnLight found itself facing customer projects and financial obligations that still required solutions.
The company began developing the ability to hold and manage certain project financing internally.
What initially emerged from necessity eventually revealed a broader opportunity.
That experience helped form the foundation for EnLight Capital, which is now being developed to support financing opportunities across home improvement and other projects while strengthening the broader EnLight Family of Companies.
“EnLight Capital wasn’t something we originally set out to build,” Hernandez said. “It came from a difficult situation. When companies we relied on disappeared, the consequences didn’t disappear with them. We had to solve the problem in front of us. Eventually we realized that what we had been forced to learn could become a capability that helped us serve people in entirely new ways.”
That experience reflects a broader lesson from EnLight’s first decade.
“Some of the most valuable things we’ve built came from seasons we never would have chosen,” Hernandez added. “You solve the problem in front of you, learn from it and sometimes discover that God was preparing you for an opportunity you couldn’t see yet.”
Creating Opportunity for People
The same philosophy extends to people.
As EnLight has grown, team members who began in frontline sales and operating roles have moved into leadership and entrepreneurial positions within the organization.
Some have progressed from knocking on doors to leading major markets. Others are helping build new EnLight businesses alongside the company.
EnLight sees that model as increasingly important to its future: identifying capable people, giving them meaningful responsibility and creating pathways for them not simply to work within the organization, but to help build what comes next.
“Our greatest opportunity isn’t just to build more companies,” Hernandez said. “It’s to build people. If EnLight can become a place where talented people grow into leaders, and where some of those leaders eventually have the opportunity to build businesses with us, that’s a much more meaningful definition of growth.”
Technology That Delivers Value First
Technology is also becoming an increasingly important connection between the businesses.
EnLight recently launched EnLight AI, initially developed to provide EnLight.Energy prospects and customers with personalized, data-driven guidance about their homes and energy opportunities.
Rather than viewing the technology simply as another product, EnLight sees the underlying AI infrastructure as a potential way to improve how customers interact with businesses across the broader family.
The philosophy is simple:
Deliver value first. Earn trust. Help when there is a genuine need.
“Traditional sales often begins with what a company wants to sell,” Hernandez said. “We think technology gives us an opportunity to reverse that. Start by helping someone understand their situation and giving them something genuinely useful. If that eventually creates an opportunity for one of our companies to serve them, great. If it doesn’t, we still want the interaction to have created value.”
A Purpose Bigger Than Growth
For EnLight, however, the businesses themselves are not the ultimate objective.
EnLight is a Christian-led organization, built on the belief that business can be a platform for serving people, creating opportunity, stewarding resources responsibly and ultimately pointing others toward Jesus Christ.
The company seeks to express that faith not through pressure or expectation, but through the way its people work, lead, serve, give and treat others.
“For us, business has never been the ultimate purpose,” Hernandez said. “Our faith in Jesus is the reason behind what we’re building. We believe we’ve been entrusted with people, opportunities and resources, and we want to steward those things well. We won’t always get everything right, but our hope is that people encounter something different in the way we serve them and in what we choose to do with whatever success we’re given.”
That commitment has extended beyond EnLight’s commercial activities through support for organizations and initiatives focused on children and families, economic opportunity, entrepreneurship and Christian ministry in the United States and internationally.
For EnLight, giving and service are not intended to be separate from the company’s growth strategy. Increasing the organization’s capacity to serve others is part of the reason for pursuing growth in the first place.
“We believe growth creates responsibility,” Hernandez said. “If God allows us to build something larger, our capacity to serve, give and create opportunities for others should become larger with it.”
Four Years of Recognition. A Decade of Building. The Next Chapter.
EnLight.Energy’s 2026 recognition follows Inc. 5000 appearances in 2023, 2024 and 2025, giving the company four consecutive years on the list.
After celebrating ten years in business this April, EnLight views the recognition less as a finish line than as a marker between chapters.
Its second decade will focus on strengthening its existing businesses, developing technology and shared infrastructure that can create value across them, investing in people and selectively pursuing opportunities where EnLight’s capabilities and culture can solve meaningful problems.
The ambition is not simply to own more companies.
It is to build an enduring family of businesses that serves people well, develops leaders and entrepreneurs, creates opportunities around the world and generates resources that can be stewarded for purposes beyond itself.
“We’re grateful for what the first ten years produced, including four consecutive Inc. 5000 recognitions,” Hernandez said. “But I hope that when we look back after another ten or twenty years, the rankings aren’t what we’re most proud of. I hope it’s the people whose lives were better because they crossed paths with EnLight — customers, team members, partners and people we may never personally meet.”
