BravoPlus is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to empower underserved high school students through international cultural experiences. Through scholarships, students are able to participate in our Global Pathways Málaga Program, a life-changing opportunity that broadens horizons and inspires personal growth.
The program provides students with the opportunity to travel to Málaga, Spain, for a two-week summer homestay and study experience. Participants attend Spanish language classes in the mornings, engage in cultural activities in the afternoons, and live with carefully selected Spanish host families. This 24/7 immersion experience strengthens language skills, deepens understanding of Spanish culture, and fosters appreciation and respect for other cultures around the world.
Students return home more mature, confident, independent, and globally aware. International experiences help young people develop initiative, adaptability, and cross-cultural understanding—qualities that can give them a significant advantage in college admissions, academic success, and future careers.
This past summer, thanks to the generosity of TAP Air Portugal, which donated airfare between Miami and Málaga, and the support of Cervantes Escuela Internacional and CLIC International House, which provided courses and homestays, four deserving students were able to participate in this life-changing program.
According to the students, BravoPlus’ Global Pathways Málaga Program was truly the experience of a lifetime. Alpha shared that the program significantly improved his Spanish language skills. Daniel said he loved the classes. Saharaimann especially enjoyed living with her host family, while Monica was captivated by the cultural activities. All four students enthusiastically said they would jump at the opportunity to return.
The program was an overwhelming success, and BravoPlus plans to expand it significantly in the summer of 2027. Our goal is to send at least 50 students to Málaga next summer. With each scholarship costing approximately $5,000 per student, we must raise $250,000 to make this vision a reality.
