The Palatka Daily News seeks an outstanding editor. We are a vibrant five-day daily with print and digital readership of more than 20,000, plus a growing social media presence. We print Tuesday-Saturday and freshen our online and social media seven days.
The editor leads a staff of seven, including news, sports reporters, and an experienced news editor. You’ll also handle some copy editing, design, and reporting as needed. The editor must be a team player with superior skills, a good work ethic, and solid integrity. Minimum of four years’ experience in newspapers required.
Palatka is in Putnam County, Florida, home of the majestic St. Johns River, with some of the best outdoors life in the Southeast. The city has 10,000 residents and Putnam County has 73,300. We’re 35 minutes from historic St. Augustine and Atlantic beaches, 55 from University of Florida activities, and one hour to Jacksonville..
