Meet FPA Legislative Intern John Freeman
John Freeman is an undergraduate student at La Salle University studying mass media and journalism as a communication major. Freeman currently serves as the sports editor for The La Salle Collegian, a reporter for La Salle TV, and is a member of La Salle’s pre-law program as well.
Freeman’s passion for law grew as his knowledge about the business aspect of another one of his passions, sports, grew. From advertisement, copyright, filmmaking and marketing, Freeman has absorbed numerous books concerning the legalities of them all—one of his favorites being Making Movies by Sidney Lumet. Freeman’s interrelated passions of business, law, and sports are what drove him to declare a sports management minor at La Salle—where he’s actively enrolled in courses that focus on examining either of the three subjects.
Graduating a semester early in December of 2024, Freeman plans to utilize what would have been his final semester at La Salle to study for the LSAT and continue to work towards earning a living as a journalist. Freeman’s dream job is to be a media analyst and or sports agent—as he enjoys following mass media trends and meeting athletes who hail from unique countries across the world.
