MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Mainstreet Daily News

Mainstreet Daily News is a local, independent news outlet dedicated to telling the story of Gainesville and its surrounding area. Our mission is to inform, engage, and inspire our readers to make a difference in the communities and neighborhoods we serve.

We bring to this mission more than 100 years of combined journalism experience, but these old dogs are learning new tricks: After two years of online-only publication, Mainstreet became a weekly print newspaper in 2022.

Our full-color, broadsheet paper has been a hit in Alachua County, which has come to rely on Mainstreet’s hyper-local news focus.

We are grateful to be FPA members and appreciate the warm welcome we have received from not only FPA staff but also fellow members. We look forward to growing together!
