Circulation/Distribution Manager


The Coastal Region of Community Newspapers Inc has an opening for a circulation/distribution manager for its three community newspapers based in Fernandina Beach, FL.

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in newspaper circulation departments. Working knowledge of InterLink is a plus. Basic computer skills are required.

This position manages a team of 6 or 7 employees and is responsible for: the annual budgeting of revenues and expenses; the development of subscription drives and subscription marketing plans; the processing of carrier and subscription payments; the processing of month-end reports; the pick-up and delivery of all weekly publications from our press plants to carriers and the post office on schedule; managing independent contractor carriers and drivers; maintenance of all company vehicles; and must be willing and able to work extended or unusual hours as needed to fill in for carriers and/or drivers.

Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with the public and co-workers.

Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.

This is a full-time position that includes a base salary; reimbursed expenses; health insurance benefits; 401K; and paid vacation and holidays.
